SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 1965

Jeff Astle (pictured) scored his first hat-trick for the Albion, John Kaye adding the other in a 4-2 win over Sheffield Wednesday.

Six days later, Astle added a second as the Throstles won 4-3 at Northampton Town in their only First Division season.
