GABRIEL Tamas is hoping the Albion records keep on tumbling as he looks to finish the season in style against Barnsley on Sunday (ko 1pm).
Roberto Di Matteo's side set a new club record of 90 for the most points earned in a season thanks to Monday's 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.
Now he has his eyes firmly set on surpassing the best total chalked up by a runner-up in England's second tier - set by Leicester with 92 in 2003.
And, on 88 league goals for the term, the Baggies will have their sights set on breaking into the top five scoring teams in Albion history.
The club's best is 105 set in Old Division Two in 1929/30, followed by Old Division One tallies of 104 in 1919/20, 92 in 1957/58 and 91 in 1965/66, plus the 90 in Old Division Two in 1927/28.
"The gaffer and the staff told us we have a goal now to beat 92 points," said Tamas.
"The maximum points ever for second place was 92, so we hope to win at home to achieve that goal.
"Also we reached the goal of beating the club points record.
"We had two goals and now we have one more.
"It means something because it means we have worked for something.
"And we are not on holiday right now - our holidays come after one more game.
"We are professional footballers and this is football so we must want to win every game.
"It doesn't matter whether we are promoted or not."
The Baggies centre-half will also be involved in summer internationals for Romania.
But he admits he is looking forward to a well-earned rest before launching into pre-season.
"Romania have three games from May 26 to June 8," he added.
"I spoke to the coach and I am going to be there.
"It's good for me but I need some holidays as well because I have played everywhere."
