ROBERTO Di Matteo admits he will weigh up his injury problems before deciding whether or not to dip into the loan market again before next Thursday's 5pm deadline.
The Baggies boss is set to have at least three key players missing for Saturday's home clash against Preston (ko 3pm), with Jonas Olsson (calf), Steven Reid (groin) and Roman Bednar (thigh) all ruled out.
And Jerome Thomas (hamstring), who has missed the last two games, remains a doubt for the visit of North End.
But Andy Slory should be back in contention after missing Tuesday's 2-0 win at Swansea due to a family bereavement.
Olsson, who limped off at half-time at the Liberty Stadium, is also struggling to be fit to face Coventry on Wednesday, while Bednar is expected to be sidelined for at least another fortnight.
"I'm not expecting Jonas, Steven or Roman to be back for Saturday," said Di Matteo.
"Steven's not got a bad injury but he played three games in seven days and I don't think he's played that many games in a short space of time for years.
"I think the sheer volume of games in such a short space of time just increases the risk of injuries.
"Roman will be out for a couple of weeks.
"Jerome is getting better and we'll assess him today.
"Slory has had a death in the family and has had to go back to Surinam for the funeral.
"He is due back tonight and will be in contention for Saturday."
On the loan front, the Baggies boss, added: "We'll have to see how our injuries are.
"If everyone was fit then I'd be happy with our squad.
"We'll have to see our situation when the deadline comes."
