LATEEF Elford-Alliyu bagged a brace as Albion Under-18s extended their unbeaten league run to four games with a 4-0 drubbing of Sheffield United on their travels.
The Baggies striker gave the Baggies the lead from the penalty spot just before half time in Saturday's FA Premier Academy League inter-group fixture.
Elford-Alliyu doubled his tally after the break and his second was sandwiched by Ethan Mannion and Akil Grier goals in a 15-minute burst.
Baggies coach Keith Downing said: "It was a bit harder than the scoreline suggested.
"In the first half Sheffield played with the slope and caused us one or two problems with set-plays and long throws.
"They had a few half-chances.
"We defended strongly and scored just on half-time.
"In the second half we had the slope a little bit with us, continued to work it through the field and kept possession comfortably.
"Then we had a very good spell where we scored three goals in 15 minutes.
"George Thorne played Mannion through one-on-one with the keeper and he scored, Lateef lobbed the keeper and Akil completed a good team goal by smashing home from 16 yards.
"I was pleased and it was good other players that have had to wait their time for action are also doing well."
Baggies Under-18s host Huddersfield Town in an inter-group fixture on Saturday (ko noon).
