ROBERT Koren was quick to play down his match-winning roles in Albion's back-to-back home victories and instead focussed on the fact the team's promotion fate is firmly in their own hands.
The Slovenia skipper followed up his wonder strike against Sheffield Wednesday last Tuesday with a carbon copy cracker in Saturday's five-goal thriller against Blackpool.
With ten games to go, those successes have opened up a five-point gap on third-placed Nottingham Forest ahead of tomorrow's trip to fourth-placed Swansea, who are now nine points adrift.
But Koren claims there is still plenty of hard work ahead if he is to claim his second automatic promotion success with Albion.
"The most important thing is that the team is winning and if you get an opportunity to score goals, it's good to help the team," he said.
"I've said before and I'll say it again: I'm not too worried about my personal statistics.
"The most important thing is that the team goes up.
"These were two really important two games for us.
"Of course, every game is important, but the last two games were very difficult for us, especially against Blackpool.
"They showed they are a really good team. They can pass the ball around and we needed to put in a lot of energy.
"We've got a really good week behind us and winning the two games was really important for our confidence after we lost at QPR.
"There are still ten games until the end of the season and we need to focus on ourselves.
"We have everything in our hands and we cannot look too much at what Nottingham Forest or anyone else are doing.
"We need to get as many points as possible from these ten games.
"We are full of confidence and we feel we are good enough to go up.
"But we need to show that week in, week out."
Saturday's sizzler, which put Albion 2-1 up, is widely regarded as the better goal - but Koren says they were equally important.
"When you score goals, it's always a good feeling," added the Bosman signing from Lillestrom.
"But I don't bother too much about my personal statistics.
"It's all about the team - not individuals.
"Both of the goals were special.
"They were both with my left foot and it's difficult to say which one was better."
Koren claims Albion are determined to get their away form back on track in South Wales.
The Baggies still boast the division's best record on the road - despite successive defeats at Bristol City and QPR.
"In the last few weeks, we've been playing well at home and winning games but away from home we can't find the right balance," he added.
"But I'm sure Tuesday night will be different.
"Swansea showed when they beat us at The Hawthorns they are a really tough, strong team.
"They like to play football and they pass the ball around so we are expecting a really hard game.
"We'll need to prepare really well.
"But we have enough quality to get points there.
"Hopefully, we will come home unbeaten."
