Albion v Sheffield Wed - team news

Posted on: Tue 09 Mar 2010

LUKE Moore is recalled to the Baggies' starting XI as Roberto Di Matteo makes two changes to the side that lost 3-1 at QPR on Saturday.

Graham Dorrans is the other new addition to the line-up as loan ranger Ben Watson drops to the bench along with Simon Cox, who has shaken off the back injury that saw him stretchered off at Loftus Road three days ago.

Loan signing Steven Reid makes his home debut for Albion.

The Baggies are also buoyed by having new signing Giles Barnes among the substitutes for the first time as he steps up his comeback from a long-term Achilles problem.

Joe Mattock is the man to make way on the bench.

Alan Irvine makes one change to the Sheffield Wednesday team that beat Leicester 2-0 at the weekend.

Luke Varney comes in for Marcus Tudgay, who misses out altogether.

Former Baggie Darren Purse captains the Owls and ex-Albion midfielder James O'Connor is in the visitors' line-up.

ALBION (4-5-1): Carson; S Reid, Tamas, Olsson, Cech; Brunt, Morrison, Mulumbu, Dorrans, Thomas; Moore. Subs: Kiely (gk), Meite, Koren, I Miller, Watson, Cox, Barnes.
