GABRIELTamas has been called up to the Romania squad for the first time under new boss Razvan Lucescu as they prepare to host Israeal in Wednesday's friendly.
The 26-year-old centre-half already has 44 caps and three goals to his name for his country but was not involved in the new coach's first three games.
He last played in Romania's 2-1 World Cup qualifying defeat by Austria in April, which resulted in coach Victor Piturca losing his job.
