FRANK Nouble insists there is more to come from him after impressing on his Albion debut in last night's 2-0 win over Scunthorpe.
The on-loan West Ham forward was thrown straight into Roberto Di Matteo's starting XI on the left wing in place of the suspended Jerome Thomas.
The 18-year-old giant proved a real handful for the Iron defence - and was only denied a goal by a good save from Joe Murphy.
But Nouble was just pleased to be part of a winning team that regained top spot from Newcastle.
"It was an ideal start and a good game as well," he said.
"We won 2-0 and three points was the main thing.
"From a personal point of view I got a few chances with the ball to show what I can do.
"Hopefully I will get stronger and fitter during the time I'm here.
"The fans were good and if I run about and show my willingness to get on the ball I'm sure the fans will take to me, so it's good.
"Hopefully I can bring an outlet and some pace in behind and some strength.
"Hopefully I can get a few goals for the team as well and I just hope I can add to the winning they're doing."
Nouble explained how his move to The Hawthorns came about and is hoping he can help Albion keep the pressure on the Baggies' promotion rivals in the final third of the season.
"Just before the Burnley game with West Ham Roberto Di Matteo rang Gianfranco Zola and found out what the situation was with me going out on loan," he added.
"The manager told him 'yes, you can take him' and Di Matteo came in straight away for me.
"One night I got phoned up at about 8pm and took the train to Birmingham.
"I'm just happy that I'm here now."
The Toon have a game in hand but their 3-0 defeat at Derby last night saw the Baggies leapfrog them to the Coca-Cola Championship summit on goal difference.
"It was a good night because Newcastle lost as well," said Nouble.
"It's down to them to keep their form up, otherwise we're in there.
"It's a big thing going top.
"There is a big burden on Newcastle now because they know we are right in there.
"But the main thing is that two teams go up, so as long we we're in the top two that's good."
