Albion v Scunthorpe - team news

Posted on: Tue 09 Feb 2010

NEW loan signing Frank Nouble is handed his Albion debut as Roberto Di Matteo makes four changes - one enforced - to the side that beat Plymouth 1-0 on Saturday.

The West Ham forward replaces the suspended Jerome Thomas on the left wing.

Rested trio Gonzalo Jara, Jonas Olsson and Robert Koren are all recalled to the Baggies boss' starting XI in place of benched threesome Gianni Zuiverloon, Abdoulaye Meite and Simon Cox respectively.

Nigel Adkins also makes four changes to the Iron side that lost 2-1 at home to Crystal Palace three days ago.

Grant McCann and Paul Hayes are relegated to substitutes, while Marcus Williams is suspended and Garry Thompson misses out through injury.

Josh Wright, Michael O'Connor and Brendan Moloney are elevated from the bench, and Matthew Sparrow comes in.

ALBION (4-5-1): Carson; Jara, Tamas, Olsson, Mattock; Brunt, Koren, Mulumbu, Dorrans, Nouble; Bednar. Subs: Kiely (gk), Cox, Moore, Meite, Zuiverloon, Thorne, Slory.

SCUNTHORPE (4-4-2): Murphy; Byrne, Mirfin, Jones, Sparrow; Togwell, O'Connor, Moloney, McDermott; Wright, Hooper. Subs not used: Lillis (gk), McCann, Hayes, Forte, Woolford, Morris, Raynes.
