CHRIS Wood scored his fourth goal in as many youths and reserves games as Albion Under-18s beat Manchester United 3-0 on Saturday.
The New Zealand international opened the scoring on the break in the fifth minute as he steered home Kayleden Brown's cross.
Brown got on the scoresheet himself 17 minutes later with a left-foot strike to give the hosts a two-goal half-time advantage.
And Sam Mantom wrapped up all three points with a shot that squirmed through the goalkeeper's hands seven minutes after the break.
"It was a great result and performance to go with it," said Albion coach Keith Downing.
"Over the last few weeks we haven't had the results to go with the performances.
"We started really well and it felt like an away game.
"They had a lot of possession but we were organised and the ball was always in front of us so we negated their moves.
"In the second half they came at us a bit and tried to get in behind us a little bit more.
"They had a few chances and Ryan Allsop produced to very, very good top-class saves to keep the score at 2-0.
"Sam's goal gave us a bit of a cushion.
"I was just pleased for the players they got their just desserts."
