Plymouth v Albion - team news

Posted on: Sun 07 Feb 2010

ROBERTO Di Matteo changes his team for the first time in six games as he drafts in four fresh faces.

Abdoulaye Meite replaces the benched Jonas Olsson as he is paired with Gabriel Tamas at the heart of the Baggies defence for the first time.

Gonzalo Jara joins Olsson among the substitutes as the defensive duo are rested and Gianni Zuiverloon is recalled at right-back.

Marek Cech misses out with the hamstring injury he picked up in Wednesday's 3-2 win at Blackpool.

But Joe Mattock has recovered from the illness that saw him miss the Bloomfield Road encounter to replace him at left-back.

Simon Cox comes into the Baggies' five-man midfield in place of Robert Koren, who drops to the bench.

Ishmael Miller (ankle) misses out altogether and 17-year-old midfielder George Thorne is drafted in on the bench.

Paul Mariner makes one change to the Argyle side that lost 2-1 at Sheffield Wednesday last Saturday as new boy Damien Johnson comes in for the benched Luke Summerfield.

PLYMOUTH (4-4-2): Stockdale; Duguid, Arnason, R Johnson, Sawyer; Clark, Fletcher, D Johnson, Judge; Mackie, Fallon. Subs: Larrieu (gk), Wright-Phillips, Barker, McNamee, Noone, Summerfield, Cooper.

ALBION (4-5-1): Carson; Zuiverloon, Tamas, Meite, Mattock; Brunt, Cox, Mulumbu, Dorrans, Thomas; Bednar. Subs: Kiely (gk), Jara, Olsson, Koren, Moore, Slory, Thorne.

REFEREE: S Tanner (Somerset).
