CHRIS Wood's early second-half strike gave a young Albion reserves a 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday.
The New Zealand international was partnered in attack by new signing Marcus Haber, who played 78 minutes on his first appearance in Albion colours.

Coach Keith Downing said: "From start to finish we were excellent.
"Chris Wood cut inside from the right and finished with a good drive inside the far post to give us the lead.
"He combined well up front with Haber, who looked lively, and the pair showed good pace.
"George Thorne and Sam Mantom dominated in central midfield, Kayleden Brown was powerful on the wing and we were solid at the back.
"The young lads have had a few near misses in games since Christmas but this was a good performance and it was nice to get the result to go with it."
