EDDIE Newton revealed Jonas Olsson should be fit to face Ipswich on Tuesday (ko 7.45pm) after needing stitches in a head wound during today's 4-2 FA Cup fourth-round win over Newcastle.
The assistant head coach also labelled his vice-skipper a 'Viking warrior' as he played on with a bandaged head after suffering a cut late in the second half.
Youssouf Mulumbu (ankle) and substitute Ishmael Miller (face) also picked up minor knocks but are expected to be available for the Coca-Cola Championship trip to Portman Road.
"Jonas and Youssouf are fine," said Newton.
"They've just got little knocks that you get in games.
"Somebody stood on Youssouf's ankle and he's got an ice pack on it.
"Jonas has had a couple of stitches in his head but he'll be okay.
"He's a Viking, a warrior.
"He'll just get on with it.
"Ishmael got caught by Coloccini beneath the eye and there's just a bit of swelling.
"We're quite happy that we've got through the game pretty much unscathed.
"It's now all about how we conduct ourselves between now and Tuesday.
"As far as I'm concerned, this game's been put to bed."
