ROBERTO Di Matteo insists Gabriel Tamas will need to show more of the physical prowess he demonstrated in Monday's 2-2 draw at Newcastle before the season is out.
The Romania international was handed the tough task of marking Shola Ameobi in only his second-ever Coca-Championship clash.
And he is set to go head-to-head with the bustling Toon striker again in today's FA Cup fourth-round encounter (ko 3pm) after coming out on top in their St James' Park tussle.
Di Matteo said: "He had better enjoy that aspect because we will have plenty of those games left!
"It's been difficult for him because he has come in and we have played Forest and Newcastle straight away.
"But on Monday night the fact that the rest of the team played really well and helped him out meant he managed to put in a good performance himself.
"He has shown the ability, and we know what he can do, but it's a matter of time for him to settle in, get to know his team-mates better and get to know the way we play."
