Double boost for Baggies

Posted on: Sun 17 Jan 2010

ALBION have received a double boost with Gianni Zuiverloon and Chris Brunt both being declared fit for Monday's top-of-the-table trip to Newcastle (ko 7.45pm).

And, aside from James Morrison (heel), Roberto Di Matteo has given his squad a clean bill of health for the St James' Park encounter.

Brunt has recovered from illness and Zuiverloon has shaken off the ankle problem he picked up in last Friday's 3-1 defeat by Nottingham Forest.

"Chris Brunt is back in training and looks fine," said the Baggies boss.

"No-one else has gone down through illness so hopefully that's the end of it.

"Gianni has trained as well and everybody seems to be clear and available for the next game."
