GONZALO Jara is hoping for a long stay at The Hawthorns after flourishing during his first four months at the club.
The Chile international has swiftly become a firm fans' favourite since his £1.4million move from Colo Colo.
And he is predicting a bright future provided his family can settle in the country.
"When I was in Chile I had various opportunities to play in several countries," said Jara, speaking through interpreters Language Partners to Albion Player.
"I chose to come to Europe, and principally to come to England, because of the type of football they play here.
"I was aware that football is very serious and it's one of the best places in the world to play.
"I came to Albion because I was aware of the type of football they play.
"As long as I am happy here and we're playing good football and, importantly, my family settle down I see a very promising future for me.
"I'm very happy here. I'm happy at the club and happy in the area.
"The biggest challenge at the moment is my family adapting to their situation."
Jara, who is taking English lessons, is pleased with how quickly he has adapted to the Coca-Cola Championship.
"Before I came here I was a bit worried about the type of football and the fact it would be a different style to what I was used to," he added.
"But playing on a regular basis in the first team has helped me a lot."
