"Crewe caught us on a very good day.

"We started the game exceptionally well and created numerous chances in the first ten minutes.

"We kept our patience and stuck to the game-plan.

"We got two first-half goals and I asked them at half-time to improve on certain areas and be ruthless - that's exactly what they were.

"I was a bit disappointed with the two goals we conceded if I'm being really picky.

"But overall it was a very good performance from a lot of aspects - in and out of possession.

"There were a lot of good performances.

"Out of the 11 guys who started virtually everyone played to their potential.

"It was a good day, one of those you get every now and again, and it was very pleasing on the back of the win against Everton last week.

"It's a pity we've got a break next weekend because it would be nice to keep the run going.

"The boys have done really well over the last few weeks."
