AT around midnight on Tuesday Virgin Media who supplies the data backbone to the club's official website had a major power outage which affected their business services, including consumer broadband services, cable TV, and unfortunately our website, as well as Virgin media's own site.

Virgin Media identified the cause of their power outage on Wednesday morning.

Unfortunately, the power failure caused damage to critical parts of their infrastructure which needed replacing.

The parts were replaced as soon as they arrived on site and thorough testing was undertaken. The power has now been restored and the servers are running again.

Further testing and investigation is now taking place to ensure that this is a robust resolution to the problem.

The official Albion website was live again at 11am on Wednesday and we believe we are now over the worst of the problems.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused and many thanks for your patience.
