Newcastle opener live on BBC TV

ALBION'S Coca-Cola Championship opener at home to Newcastle United has been put back for live TV screening on BBC 1.

The Hawthorns clash remains on Saturday, August 8 but will now kick-off at 5.30pm.

It marks the return of live Championship football to the BBC for the first time since 1987 and will also be broadcast live at BBC Sport Online.

Further details about the BBC's Football League coverage will be announced shortly.
