TONY Mowbray is hoping to extend the Hawthorns stays of on-loan duo Juan Carlos Menseguez and Youssouf Mulumbu.
The Baggies boss admits both took time to acclimatise to the Barclays Premier League but has been impressed by their form after breaking into the side over the last month.
The duo joined Albion in January, with views to permanent moves, as Menseguez arrived from Argentina Primera Division outfit San Lorenzo and Mulumbu from French top-flight side PSG.
"I would hope that both of those players could be signed up," said Mowbray.
"I can only go to the board and give them my opinion on what I think should happen.
"In both cases the players have acclimatised.
"There was a difficult period for them when they came in and neither found it easy with the pace of the game and the physicality.
"The strength and energy required for 90 minutes in the Premier League is a lot different from where they have come from.
"But they have acclimatised now and I think they're at a stage with us where they can only push on and get better.
"I have had the benefit of working with them for a few months now and my own view is that we should try to pick up the options and get on with it.
"I think they are both tied in as long as we want to pay the money we have agreed.
"Ultimately it is a decision for the board to make as to whether financially we can do the deals we agreed at the time."

Menseguez started Albion's crucial games against Wigan and Liverpool and shone in both - he also scored the third goal in the Baggies' 3-0 win over Sunderland last month.
Mulumbu, who was also prevented from making his first-team debut until April due to injury, has added some bite to the midfield.
"I don't think it was easy for a time because neither of them was getting in the team and they were here to play," Mowbray added.
"But they were my decisions to make and the team is all-important, regardless of whether you have brought somebody from Argentina or Paris.
"They've got to be ready to benefit the team and I felt they weren't at the time.
"But I could see qualities that would help the team eventually and here we are a few months down the line with both in the side and performing at a decent level."
