GRAHAM Dorrans has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a broken metatarsal.

The Baggies midfielder picked up the initial injury in the Baggies' 3-0 win over Sunderland three weeks ago but X-rays at that stage showed no major damage.

After missing the Tottenham trip he returned to action in Saturday's 3-1 win over Wigan before limping off with a recurrence of the problem in the 55th minute - and further X-rays have shown a break.

It is a major blow to the 22-year-old Scot, who was just becoming a regular in Tony Mowbray's starting XI.

"He didn't have a broken foot last week but it is the same foot," said the Hawthorns boss.

"Last week's X-ray showed nothing, yet this week's X-ray shows a broken metatarsal."
