TONY Mowbray insists a Wembley trip is the least Albion's 'loaned-out'  rangers deserve after grasping their opportunity to play elsewhere this season.

Craig Beattie helped Sheffield United get past Preston on Monday to set up a Championshiop play-off final clash with Burnley on May 25.

Two days earlier, Luke Daniels and David Worrall will be at Wembley with Shrewsbury who face Gillingham in the League Two play-off final after scraping past Bury on penalties.

"Luke and David are young players and keep in touch with our sporting and technical director, Dan Ashworth, on a daily basis," said Mowbray.

"They know full well that we are watching and backing them all the way.

"Hopefully, they can finish the job off.

"What a great experience it will be for them to get out onto the Wembley pitch and try and help a club win promotion.

"We are all delighted for them.

"It's also exciting for Craig, who went up with us last season.

"The bottom line for Craig is that he's a good lad and found himself third or fourth choice here.

"He wanted to play and I never stop players who want to play.

"He's grasped the opportunity.

"He's spent a bit of time on the United bench and yet has played an important part for them.

"We wish him well too."

Craig Beattie

The Baggies boss admits Beattie could still have a future at The Hawthorns but in the meantime is delighted he is getting regular football at Bramall Lane.

"We need to look at the two clubs' predicaments at the end of the season," Mowbray added.

"There's a scenario where we may swap places and they want to buy him.

"It's all heresay at the moment - we don't have a crystal ball.

"He will be helping Sheffield United's promotion push and enjoying his football.

"Let's see how it comes out in the wash."
