CHRIS Brunt has urged his team-mates to take inspiration from Middlesbrough's recent win over Liverpool as they go in search of a result against the Reds to keep their survival chances alive on Sunday (ko 1.30pm).
Relegation rivals Boro pulled off a shock 2-0 victory over Rafa Benitez' men at the Riverside Stadium in February.
And the Northern Ireland international is hoping the bottom-placed Baggies can take confidence from two successive home victories and achieve a similar feat at The Hawthorns - backed by a sell-out home support.
"We've got to look at it like it is," said Brunt.
"The media have been writing us off for months anyway so it's no different.
"We just need to keep doing our bit and hope other results go for us.
"It's still a tall ask and we have a home game against Liverpool which won't be an easy by any stretch.
"But Middlesbrough beat them at the Riverside and there's no reason why we can't beat them at The Hawthorns.
"We need to be at our best and then you never know.
"I think it'll be a good atmosphere, the same as it was last weekend and the one before that.
"The fans have made it great for us and spurred us on."
Brunt is enjoying his best form of the season and has even blasted his way to the top of the Albion scoring chart thanks to five goals in as many games to take his tally to eight for the season.
He has credited Marc-Antoine Fortuné with playing a part in his upturn in fortunes and hopes the Baggies can keep hold of the on-loan Nancy striker next term.
"I seem to find myself in better positions coming in from the right into goalscoring areas," he added.
"It's different for me coming in on my left foot.
"Playing with Marco is helpful.
"He is a focal point for us.
"He's a strong guy who holds the ball up well and it gives me a bit more time to make better movement and that's probably a big part of it.
"He deserved his goals.
"He has worked his socks off ever since I came here in January.
"Credit to him for getting the goals against Wigan.
"He did the exact same things that he did against Sunderland and that he did against Spurs last week.
"He worked the line well, on his own a lot of the time.
"He's been a big presence for us since he came here in January.
"It's taken us a while to get momentum together but he has been a main part of it.
"He's good for the football club and the rest of the lads because he is a nice fellow as well and it would be great for him to stay - but it's down to him and West Brom."
The 24-year-old midfielder also reserved high praise for Dean Kiely following his match-winning heroics in his first league appearance of the season against the Latics on Saturday.
"He was top drawer," Brunt said.
"We see it in training week in, week out but he's had to bide his time with Scott playing.
"He took his chance on Saturday.
"The saves were superb, especially the double one at the near post.
"I don't know how he kept the ball out.
"He was unfortunate for the goal because it deflected off my shoulder and that was one of those things.
"Credit to Deano.
"He's an experienced keeper and he has shown how professional he is, even at his age.
"He is a great guy to have around the changing room and the club.
"I was delighted for him."
