TONY Mowbray has been given a double boost with Shelton Martis and Roman Bednar expected to be fit for Saturday's clash with Sunderland (ko 3pm) after both missing the last two games.
Martis has trained all week after overcoming a groin problem and joint six-goal top scorer Bednar returned to the practice pitch today following a hamstring injury.
But the news has been soured by James Morrison being ruled out for the Black Cats' visit due to the flare up of a heel injury he has been playing with.
"Roman and Shelton are training and they'll be in the squad," said Mowbray.
"Morrison's got a heel injury that will keep him out at the weekend.
"He's had it for a few months and he's been soldiering on but it's got too sore.
"We'll wait for it to settle down.
"It developed from a blister.
"He's on antibiotics at the moment and we'll see how it clears up."
