ALBION Under-18s extended their winning run to five games in the FA Premier Academy League (Group C) with a 2-1 win over Crewe earlier today.

The Baggies beat Blackburn 2-0 on Saturday thanks to a Chris Wood strike and David Worrall goal.

And they came from behind against the Railwaymen as Wood struck twice in the second-half to take his tally to nine goals in five games.

Albion Academy manager Mark Harrison said: "The boys created numerous chances against Crewe in the first-half and did not deserve to be 1-0 down at the break.

"They battled back well and showed good character to continue their recent impressive form."

The Baggies host Everton on Saturday (ko 11.30am).
