ALBION have sealed their third winter transfer window capture by signing Paris Saint Germain defensive midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu on loan until the end of the season - with a view to a permanent deal.
The 22-year-old is not eligible for tomorrow's FA Cup fourth-round replay at Burnley as competition rules state only players who were registered before the initial tie can feature.
Kinshasa-born Mulumbu, who was capped once by France Under-21s, has made seven senior international appearances for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
He joined PSG in 2004 and signed his first professional contract in November 2006.
Mulumbu helped PSG reach the UEFA Cup's last 16 in 2007 before they were knocked out by Benfica, losing 5-2 on aggregate.
In total, he has made 68 appearances, including ten as a sub, for the French Ligue One club, scoring once.
Mulumbu spent last season on loan at Ligue Two outfit Amiens, notching once in 23 appearances.
Tony Mowbray has likened Mulumbu's arrival to that of Graham Dorrans, describing him as a "young player with potential...who won't instantly impact on our first team".
