JONAS Olsson and Filipe Teixeira are expected to return to training today after sitting out yesterday's session due to minor knocks they suffered in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Stoke.

Both were rested as a precaution after Olsson suffered a blow to his Achilles and Teixeira took a kick to his knee.

But the duo should be fit for Saturday's trip to Wigan (ko 3pm) and Tony Mowbray is hopeful James Morrison will also be fit for the JJB Stadium clash after he missed the Britannia Stadium visit with medial knee ligament damage.

"Filipe and Jonas didn't train yesterday," said the Baggies boss.

"But I don't think they are major problems.

"Filipe took a tackle on his knee and it was just precautionary to rest him really.

"Jonas has got a kick on his Achilles.

"He said he wanted to train but again we showed caution.

"I hope James will train on Thursday.

"Before he joins in he'll do some work with the physio and fitness coach in rehab to build up his fitness to a level where he can train.

"If things go according to plan he'll train Thursday and Friday and travel with us."

Mowbray admitted he would have liked Morrison's drive from midfield against the Potters.

But he insisted the players he had on display were unfortunate not to get at least a point in the Scotland international's absence.

"I think you always miss good players in your team," the Albion chief added.

"James gives us a forward thrust at times.

"He drives forward with the ball and runs past the strikers.

"James gives us something a little bit different at times.

"That's football - you have to get on with the players you have available.

"Saturday was one of those games where you couldn't sit down and say we missed James Morrison, because he's played in plenty of the other games where we haven't had results.

"The opportunities were there for us to get a result at the weekend and the disappointment is, in a tight game, we didn't take them."
