Barnett back in training
TONY Mowbray has revealed Leon Barnett is back in training after undergoing minor knee surgery - but won't be ready for Saturday's trip to Stoke (ko 3pm).
James Morrison has already been ruled out of the Britannia Stadium clash with the 'mild' medial knee ligament damage he suffered in last weekend's 3-0 defeat by Chelsea.
But Dean Kiely, who has started every Barclays Premier League clash on the bench this season, could return to training tomorrow after missing Ireland's 3-2 friendly defeat by Poland with a wrist injury.
And Mowbray is hopeful the 38-year-old goalkeeper will be available for selection against the Potters.
"Leon is back training," said the Baggies boss.
"He's had his arthroscopy and had a bit of cartilage nicked off his knee.
"He's back on the training pitch getting on with it now.
"James is not going to be available but it's only mild medial ligament damage.
"Let's hope he can get some work done next week with the physios and then see if he's got a chance for the Wigan game.
"I'm hopeful Dean will get his gloves on tomorrow and we'll see how he goes.
"Hopefully, he'll be fine for the weekend."
