ALBION Under-18s missed a host of chances as they suffered a 2-1 Black Country mini-derby defeat by Wolves in Saturday's FA Premier Academy League (Group C) clash.

Lateef Elford-Alliyu opened the scoring in the 25th minute but Wanderers levelled before the break and pinched a last-gasp winner.

Baggies coach Roger Wilkinson said: "Our keeper didn't have much to do and we were punished for a couple of mistakes.

"Once again we created chances but didn't finish them.

"Over the course of the game we played very well from box to box.

"We need to find a cutting edge and start finishing precisely.

"We're playing good football but good football should produce wins for you.

"We feel we're on the right road and need a bit of fine tuning at both ends of the pitch.

"The manager was watching at the weekend and, despite the result, I know some of the boys impressed him."
