Poppy shirts spark bidding frenzy

Posted on: Mon 10 Nov 2008

YOU'VE already raised more than £4,400 for this year's Poppy Appeal - and the bidding's not done yet!

Baggies fans have responded magnificently to the auctioning of the specially-designed shirts, featuring embroidered poppies, which Tony Mowbray's 18-man squad wore during last Saturday's draw with Blackburn.

Bidding for every jersey is now into treble figures, with Roman Bednar's proving the most popular thus far, attracting the highest offer of £350.

There's still plenty of time to get in on the ebay action, with all the auctions scheduled to deadline on Thursday between 4.30pm and 5.30pm.

Remember, proceeds will go to the 2008 Poppy Appeal.
