TONY Mowbray has confirmed his interest in signing Real Mallorca ace Borja Valero.

The attacking midfielder signed for Mallorca from Real Madrid last summer and scored four times in 35 La Liga games to help them finish seventh.

"It's no secret we admire the player and would like to tie something up," said the Baggies boss.

"If we can, great.

"He's a player we've watched for a while and he's got the technical ability and quality to help our squad.

"But the deal's not done yet and I don't like talking about players who are contracted to other clubs."
