SHELTON Martis will miss the start of pre-season training after suffering a calf injury.

The Baggies defender picked up the problem while playing in the Dutch Antilles' World Cup qualifying 1-0 defeat by Haiti on June 22.

He has been ruled out of first-team action for two to three weeks, making him a doubt for Albion's two Germany tour games against Borussia Moenchengladbach on Wednesday, July 16 and Koln (Cologne) three days later.
