ALBION will kick-off their preparations for the 2008/09 campaign during a seven-day trip to Holland.
The Baggies will be based in the Netherlands near the German border and will cross twice for a two-game mini-tour.
Tony Mowbray's men will take on Bundesliga giants Borussia Moenchengladbach at the Hubert Houben Stadium in Goch on Wednesday, July 16 (ko 5.30pm BST) before taking on FC Koln (Cologne) three days later, with the venue and kick-off time yet to be confirmed.
Albion sporting and technical director Dan Ashworth said: "Every year we like to do something a little bit different.
"This is an opportunity for us to take advantage of an excellent hotel and training facilities, which were checked out by coach Craig Shakespeare in advance.
"We'll face two testing games which fit in well with our Barclays Premier League preparations."
The Baggies' Barclays Premier League credentials will certainly be in for a stiff examination.
Fives times German champions and twice UEFA Cup winners Borussia finished six points clear at the top of Bundesliga 2 last term to bounce back to the top flight at the first attempt.
FC Koln finished third in Bundesliga 2 last season to win their third promotion in ten years and rejoin Germany's elite.
Further details will be announced right here at www.wba.co.uk shortly.
