Eu-bet!

Posted on: Wed 11 Jun 2008

ROMANIA are worth a flutter with bet365 at 15/4 to upset France today (ko 5pm).

True, France have got the best players but they managed to make hard work of beating ordinary sides in qualifying and lost to Scotland twice.

Romania are better than Scotland and they defended solidly enough in qualifying to outpoint Holland, blanking them twice and winning one.

However, France are very tight, and if Romania are going to get something, it'll almost certainly be an 'Under 2.5' encounter - lump on at 4/7!

Holland v Italy

No prizes for anticipating a tight game in the second of today's games between Holland and Italy (ko 7.45pm), particularly as neither side will want to get beaten in their opener.

Despite recent friendly-game hints that the Dutch have found their scoring boots, they struggled to find the net against stubborn defences in qualifying - and they don't come much more stubborn than Italian ones!

There are plenty of other punting options too, including No Goalscorer at 6/1 and Under 2.5 goals at 11/20, but nothing appeals more than the draw at 21/10 - fill your boots!
