Euro betting guide

Posted on: Tue 13 May 2008

THE month of May has plenty of exciting football betting opportunities, starting with Wednesday night's UEFA Cup final between Rangers and Zenit St Petersburg (ko 7.45pm, live on ITV).

Rangers have reached the final by frustrating the hell out of their opponents, so don't expect a change of style now against the Russian side.

The draw makes sense at 21/10, although the Gers have got plenty going for them, not least a massively pro-Rangers crowd at Eastlands, and could nick it at 2/1.

Zenit are the 13/10 favourites and rightly so, after beating Bayern Munich in the semi-finals.

It could be a really tight, stale affair, which makes bet365's Bore Draw Offer look particularly attractive.

If the game finishes 0-0, bet365 will refund all losing correct score, half-time/full-time and scorecast bets.

If it does go to penalties, it's conceivable that Rangers could win the trophy without scoring during 90 minutes and extra time - a 28/1 shot with bet365!

Looking further ahead, Man United are 6/4 favourites to beat Chelsea (9/5) in the Champions League final next May, a £10 Zenit-United double returns nearly £60 and is sure to be popular!
