TONY Mowbray hailed the importance of Robert Koren and Zoltan Gera's goalpower to Albion's promotion push after they both made it ten for the season at Norwich.
The dynamic duo became the first Baggies midfielders in four seasons to chalk up double figures in a campaign - the last being ten-goal Jason Koumas in the club's last promotion-winning success of 2003/04.
And Mowbray insists their contributions have helped ease the burden on his strikers as they bid to bounce back to the Premier League.
"Zoltan went on a Maradona-style run in the first half but that's the quality he possesses," he said.
"He's shown great focus for us this season and I'm delighted he scored the winner.
"Every successful team has got goalscoring midfield players.
"If you rely on just one or two players to score goals and they go off the boil, you will be struggling.
"Today two goalscoring midfield players won us the football match so it is very important."
Mowbray admitted Gera remains a popular figure around The Hawthorns and hopes the Magic Magyar will put pen to paper on a new Baggies contract in the summer.
"You can see the affinity the fans have with Zoltan by the way he celebrated with them," he added.
"Zoltan knows he's loved by the supporters, the management team and his team-mates.
"Ultimately he'll decide his future and whatever he decides we'll wish him good luck.
"I hope he stays with us and feels he can play his part with us in the Premier League if we get there.
"If he doesn't, there will be no grudges.
"Good luck to the boy because he has done fabulously well for us.
"My hope is that he sees his future with us."
The Albion chief also reserved high praise for Paul Robinson, who needed three stitches in a head wound seconds before half-time.
The tough-tackling defender returned after the break sporting a bandaged head for the second successive Saturday.
He battled on for a further 24 minutes before being replaced by Martin Albrechtsen, who was returning from a groin injury.
"Robbo is fine," said Mowbray.
"He had stitches last week and he's got a pretty long scar in the back of his head today.
"I felt he needed to come off.
"His own bravery made him want to stay on the pitch but it was quite evident after ten minutes of the second half that he wasn't quite the Paul Robinson we know so he came and sat with me."
