ALBION have suffered a major injury blow with the news Filipe Teixeira is likely to miss the rest of the season.

Initial scans suggest the Portuguese midfielder suffered cruciate ligament damage in his left knee against Plymouth on Saturday.

Boss Tony Mowbray said: "We're obviously really disappointed for Filipe.

"He is going to travel back to Portugal to get a second opinion but it looks like he will need reconstruction surgery.

"He's expected to be out for a minimum of six months and it's a big loss to the football club.

"We'll now try to make his rehab go as smoothly as possible."
