Under-18s upset league leaders

RICKY Nicholls bagged a double as he started and finished the scoring in Albion Under-18s' 4-2 win over FA Premier Academy League (Group C) leaders Manchester City on Saturday.

The 18-year-old midfielder scored in the 18th and 89th minutes to set the Baggies on the way to their third win in four games.

David Worrall netted in the 32nd minute and Dwayne Samuels notched a minute before the break as Albion sentenced City to only their second league defeat of the season.

ALBION: Carlin, Pike, Saeid, Labadie, Hancox, Holmes, Worrall, Samuels (Knight 65), Morrison, Lake-Gaskin, Nicholls. Subs not used: Lloyd-Weston (gk), Downing.

Women

Louise Fellows scored for the second successive game as Albion ladies beat Wolves 1-0 yesterday.

The Black Country derby victory came on the back of a 3-0 win over Leafield Athletic in which Hayley Phillipowsky and Abbie Hinton also scored.
