BARTOSZ Slusarski's loan spell at Championship rivals Blackpool has been extended by a further month.

The Polish international joined the Seasiders in November and has so far scored once in four starts and two substitute appearances for Simon Grayson's men.

Albion have a 24-hour recall on the 26-year-old striker.

Tony Mowbray said: "Bart picked up an injury during the early part of his loan and missed a few weeks.

"I've spoken to Simon Grayson and they like him.

"This is an opportunity to keep Bart involved in first-team football in our division.

"Hopefully, he'll score some goals and get his confidence levels high."

Slusarski penned a two-year Albion deal, plus a further year's option in the club's favour, in the summer.

But he has yet to make an impact on the first team since his arrival from Polish top-flight outfit Groclin Dyskobolia due to the form of Kevin Phillips, Ishmael Miller, Craig Beattie and Roman Bednar.

The £680,000 signing has been restricted to a six-minute substitute appearance in October's 3-2 defeat at Colchester but smashed six goals in nine reserve games before joining Blackpool.
