Albion v Scunthorpe - team news

Posted on: Mon 31 Dec 2007

TONY Mowbray names an unchanged side to the one that beat promotion rivals Bristol City 4-1 on Boxing Day.

And the Baggies boss is buoyed by the return of Chris Brunt and Filipe Teixeira from a hamstring injury and illness respectively.

The midfield duo replace Luke Steele and Leon Barnett on the bench as they are left out altogether and the hosts kick-off without a goalkeeper amongst the substitutes.

Nigel Adkins makes three changes to the United team that beat Preston 1-0 three days ago.

Kelly Youga, Cleveland Taylor and Jonathon Forte come in to replace the suspended Cliff Byrne and benched duo Paul Hayes and Kevan Hurst.

Former Baggies keeper Joe Murphy lines up in goal for The Iron.

ALBION (4-4-2): Kiely; Hoefkens, Pele, Cesar, Robinson; Gera, Koren, Greening, Morrison; Phillips, Bednar. Subs: Teixeira, Brunt, Beattie, Miller, Albrechtsen.

SCUNTHORPE (4-4-2): Murphy; Youga, Crosby, Barraclough, Williams; Cork, Goodwin, Taylor, Morris; Forte, Paterson. Subs: Lillis (gk), Hayes, Hurst, Ameobi, Winn.

REFEREE: N Swarbrick (Lancashire).
