NEIL Clement scored on his comeback from a long-term knee injury as the Baggies hit the Bantams for six.
The 29-year-old centre-half, who has been sidelined for almost 13 weeks, got 45 minutes under his belt before being replaced by Ricky Nicholls at the break in this Pontin's Holidays League Division One (Central) clash.
Fellow defender Martin Albrechtsen played the full game as he appeared for the first time since suffering knee-ligament damage against Sheffield Wednesday six weeks ago.
The visitors, who had 16-year-old keeper Gavin Carlin making his second-string debut, fell behind but equalised through Craig Beattie's 20th-minute strike.
Clement put Craig Shakespeare's men in front with a long-range effort on the half-hour mark, only for Bradford to level the scores by half-time.
But the Baggies went goal crazy in the closing stages.
Mo Saied's brace in the 75th and 90th minutes sandwiched another City leveller, plus goals from Richard Chaplow and Josh Knight in the 80th and 82nd minutes.
"It was a tale of two penalty boxes," said Shakespeare.
"It was a lot closer than I would have liked - too close for comfort.
"I wanted us to stretch the game better and play more quickly.
"But Bradford were resilient and showed good movement up front.
"Gavin Carlin acquitted himself well on his debut.
"I spoke to Clem after and he said he felt okay after his 45 minutes.
"Martin had a bit of stiffness but was delighted to get 90 minutes under his belt."
