Mowbray set for Do-heon talks
TONY Mowbray has revealed he has yet to make a decision on attacking midfielder Kim Do-heon as his training spell with Albion comes to an end.
The South Korea international, who has scored eight times in winning 42 caps, is flying back to his homeland where he is due to get married.
The Baggies boss is now set for talks with the 25-year-old's representatives.
"Kim's flying back to South Korea to get married in a couple of days," said Mowbray.
"Because of the intense schedule of games, the lads haven't been training much.
"They've just been ticking over.
"Kim's flown all the way in from South Korea and he's trained a couple of times for an hour in light sessions."
Mowbray added: "We got to hear about Kim when a South Korean agent got in contact with a European agent.
"He then made contact with us while looking for a suitable club to fit his technical ability.
"This will only work out if it is right for our club.
"Having only seen him train twice, after watching a DVD of his talents, we won't be putting any great funds into what might be a big gamble.
"There's no decision yet.
"I'll have more discussions with his advisors."
Do-heon featured five times during his country's 2006 World Cup qualifiers, scoring once against the Maldives.
And Mowbray highlighted the player's qualities which helped Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma finish as 2007 K-League runners-up, scoring five times in 13 starts.
"Kim's got undoubted quality on the ball as you'd expect from someone who has played more than 40 times for his country," he added.
"He plays for the biggest club in South Korea and is a big name.
"He's very, very creative and talented.
"He's a great passer with both feet.
"If he was to come in he would be competing with the likes of Teixeira, Morrison, Gera, Greening and Koren."
