Baggies twice throw away lead

ALBION Under-18s twice threw away the lead as they suffered a 3-2 defeat by derby rivals Wolves in the FA Premier Academy League (Group C) on Saturday.

Josh Knight netted and Stefan Morrison bagged his sixth goal in the last seven games for the Baggies but their efforts proved to be in vain as Wanderers snatched a winner five minutes from time.

ALBION: Allsopp, Mason (Samuels 80), Pike, Clarke, Compton; Worrall, Knight, Nichols, Saied; Morrison, Lake-Gaskin. Subs not used: Lloyd-Weston (gk), Bruce, Hancox.

Women

A Hayley Phillipowsky hat-trick ensured Albion ladies beat Leicester City Ladies 3-2 in the Midland Combination Main League yesterday to extend their unbeaten run to 11 games.

Chris Holloway's side entertain Loughborough Students in the Women's FA Cup second round on Sunday (ko 1pm).
