Watford v Albion - team news

Posted on: Mon 05 Nov 2007

ZOLTAN Gera is handed his first start in four games as Tony Mowbray makes one change to the side that beat Norwich 2-0 last weekend.

The Hungary skipper replaces Chris Brunt, who drops to the bench, in midfield.

On-loan striker Roman Bednar is involved in a Championship squad for the first time since his summer arrival from Hearts and Leon Barnett is back amongst the substitutes.

Craig Beattie and Sherjill MacDonald are the men who make way and miss out altogether.

Aidy Boothroyd names an unchanged team to the one that beat Crystal Palace 2-0 on Monday.

Former Baggies striker Nathan Ellington is named amongst the Hornets' substitutes but neither manager has opted to have a goalkeeper in the dugout.

WATFORD (4-4-2): Lee; Doyley. DeMerit, Shittu, Stewart; Smith, Mahon, O'Toole, Johnson; King, Henderson. Subs: Ellington, Williamson, McAnuff, Priskin, Mariappa

ALBION (4-4-2): Kiely; Hoefkens, Cesar, Albrechtsen, Robinson; Gera, Koren, Greening, Morrison; Miller, Phillips. Subs: Barnett, Bednar, Teixeira, Pele, Brunt.

REFEREE: M Jones (Chester).
