Albion Res 3 Wolves Res 3
ALBION threw away a three-goal lead as their five-game winning streak came to an end in a Black Country thriller.
The Baggies were coasting to victory at The Hawthorns when goals from Bartosz Slusarski, Roman Bednar and Sherjill MacDonald made it 3-0 inside 23 minutes.
But Wanderers pulled one back in the 26th minute through Liam Hughes and substitute Mark Davies added another in the 61st-minute.
Craig Shakespeare's men looked like hanging on in this Pontin's Holidays League Division One (Central) clash - until Denes Rosa pinched a point for the visitors by levelling three minutes from time.
Albion had opened the scoring in the sixth minute when Slusarski latched onto Bednar's throughball and slotted into the bottom left-hand corner.
Just two minutes later, Wolves' Darren Potter burst past three players but fired straight at Luke Steele.
The Baggies keeper wasted no time in bowling the ball out to Craig Beattie on the right and he fed Bednar, who fired past Billy Lumley to double the hosts' lead.
MacDonald raced past Mark Little in the 11th minute and crossed into the six-yard box where Bednar saw his close-range effort blocked.
Beattie was in the action again in the 23rd minute when he threaded MacDonald in on goal.
The Dutch Under-21 star won the race to the ball to chip over the advancing Lumley and into the net.
At the other end, Martin Riley saw his header blocked on the goalline by Tininho before Slusarski cleared for a corner.
But, from the resultant flag-kick, Hughes kept his head in a goalmouth scramble to poke home.
Wolves almost pulled another goal back seven minutes before the break when Adrian Manchester's misplaced pass fell to Freddy Eastwood.
But Steele was equal to the former Southend striker's fizzing 25-yard effort, pulling off a top-class save to tip over the bar.
The Baggies looked to have restored their three-goal advantage 30 seconds after the break only for Pele's goalbound shot to deflect off Slusarski, who was deemed offside.
Rosa broke down the Wolves right in the 50th minute and saw his cross chested onto his own post by Jared Hodgkiss and out for a corner.
Matt Jarvis then picked out Hughes with a left-wing cross in the 61st minute.
The Wolves striker's shot was blocked but substitute Davies was on hand to slam home the rebound.
The visitors almost levelled six minutes later when Rosa again found himself in space on the left and forced Steele to turn his shot around for a corner.
Albion then broke swiftly through MacDonald, whose strike from the left-hand edge of the penalty area flew just wide of the far post.
Albion threatened again when Slusarski headed MacDonald's cross straight at Lumley in the 80th minute.
Hughes almost made the Baggies pay for their missed opportunities three minutes later when he struck the crossbar.
But it was only a temporary reprieve for the hosts.
Hughes found Rosa in the box and he drilled a low finish past Steele to rescue a point.
