Hartson to join Norwich on loan

Posted on: Fri 12 Oct 2007

JOHN Hartson will join Championship rivals Norwich on Monday on a three-month loan deal.

The 32-year-old striker will remain at Carrow Road up to and including January 1 but the Canaries have the right to cut short his spell after 28 days or 56 days.

Hartson will not be eligible to play in the Hawthorns meeting between the two sides on Saturday, October 27 (ko 3pm).

The former Celtic hitman has not played for the Baggies since coming on as a substitute in the 1-0 league win over Cardiff eight months ago.

And he has slipped further down the Hawthorns pecking order with the summer arrivals of Craig Beattie and Bartosz Slusarski as well as on-loan duo Ishmael Miller and Roman Bednar.

Hartson has been restricted to just two reserve-team appearances for Albion this term.
