BOSTJAN Cesar's first goal in Albion colours proved to be the decider as Baggies reserves came from behind to win.

Joao Batista Mawete opened the scoring for a youthful Saddlers outfit in the 13th minute of this Black Country mini-derby at Bescot.

Albion keeper Luke Steele pulled off a number of saves to keep the visitors in the Pontin's Holidays League Division One (Central) encounter.

And Ishmael Miller eventually levelled the scores five minutes before the break before exiting the action on the hour-mark.

On-loan Marseille defender Cesar then climbed highest to head home Ronnie Wallwork's 70th-minute corner.

Reserves boss Craig Shakespeare said: "We had the lion's share of possession but couldn't put the ball in the back of the net.

"They hit us on the break and were a young, enthusiastic and game bunch.

"It was a highly competitive, well-fought contest and a hard-earned win."

New boy Bartosz Slusarski also got his second successive 90 minutes under his belt for the reserves.
