Mowbray runs rule over Tininho

Posted on: Thu 26 Jul 2007

TONY Mowbray is running the rule over Portuguese full-back Tininho.

The 26-year-old Beira Mar defender has joined the Baggies for a few days' training.

Tininho made 30 appearances, including one as a substitute, for his club last season and played in every I Divisao clash.

Albion have also been boosted by the return to full training of Kevin Phillips ahead of tomorrow's friendly at Northampton (ko 7.45pm).

Last term's 22-goal striker suffered a tight hamstring on the Baggies' pre-season tour of Croatia and Slovenia and was forced to sit out Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Red Star Belgrade.
