No wins for Baggie boys

Posted on: Thu 07 Jun 2007

JASON Koumas came closest to breaking the deadlock in Wales' goalless draw with the Czech Republic in their Euro 2008 qualifier on Saturday.

The Baggies midfielder rattled the woodwork with a superb free-kick as he played 90 minutes in the Group D stalemate at the Millennium Stadium.

Zoltan Gera also got 90 minutes under his belt in Hungary's 2-0 Euro 2008 qualifier defeat by group leaders Greece in Heraklion.

The Magyars are in action again on Wednesday when they take on Norway in Group C.

Robert Koren played 53 minutes for Slovenia in their 2-1 Euro 2008 defeat by group leaders Romania in Celje.

The two sides will go head-to-head again on Wednesday in Group G.

Diomansy Kamara's Senegal drew 1-1 with Tanzania in their African Nations Cup Group Seven qualifier in Mwanza.
