IN our second feature for the 2009/10 season, which appears each Thursday, we're asking past and present players, plus the coaching staff, what has inspired them both in their professional and personal lives.
This week we chat to Baggies physio and former Wrexham player Richie Rawlins.
Q1. Which teacher?
RR: Mr Ratcliffe was my head of house and PE teacher at school. Everything he did was good. He was good with people and I just looked up to him.
Q2. Which song?
RR: I listen to all different types of music from pop to classical. I'll listen to anything!
Q3. Which person outside of football as a teenager?
RR: My dad, David. He was a footballer when he was younger and had to retire through injury. A similar thing happened to me. I admired him for the way he got on with life and that inspired me to do the same.
Q4. Which coach as a youth team player?
RR: Cliff Sear. He was my youth coach when I was a player at Wrexham. Unfortunately he died when I was there. He was such an amazing man.
Q5. Which film?
RR: The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I've got them on DVD and watch them all the time. I love them. People say I look like the character Sam! It's probably something to do with being small and having big feet!

Q6. Which manager?
RR: Bryan Robson was my hero as a player so when I got the chance to come to Albion as a physio, and he was manager, it was unbelievable.
Q7. Which book?
RR: I like autobiographies. Alex Ferguson's was really good. I've also read 'Freddy' Flintoff's autobiography and Roy Keane's. Autobiographies inspire me.
Q8. Which famous person?
RR: Bryan Robson. He inspired me to be a footballer.
Q9. Which team-mate in your career?
RR: As a player Bryan Hughes, who was at Wrexham with me. He's played at the highest level with Charlton and Hull. He was a friend of mine. As a physio at Wrexham I would say Mel Pejic.
Q10. Which sportsperson outside of football?
RR: Phil 'The Power' Taylor. I went to the NEC to watch the darts. I thought it was amazing and I see him as a superstar.
